Last night was Suzi's dance school recital. Suzi is another of my church kids, the last one actually. She just finished her junior year in high school. Any ways, the recital was at the Oxnard Performing Arts Center, and it was air conditioned. Juan and Caitlin also went to the watch Suzi dance. I have gone to this recital many times over the past few years, mostly to support Suzi and it has been sort of a tradition. Part of the tradition is to go to Marie Callender's afterwards and have a late dinner.
It's also fun to share a few laughs at the expense of the little kids, usually. This year though, Lauren, Suzi's sister, is not there to lead the parade. But with the help of technology, Brian (Suzi's dad) sent L a text msg when the little kids were performing. The fun was still there, although I can;t really repeat what was discussed. It was already rude of us to make fun last night, it would be more rude to repeat. We did make plans on how to add to the fun for next year's recital. Usually lots of girls in the audience will shout out names of some of the dancers that are performing. Next year Brian and I and whoever else will shout out our names, just so we can feel like a part of the crazy crowd.
Here's a parting shot of the little kids performing.
